This policy explains what information VetraCheck Inc. ("VetraCheck", "we", "us") collects through vetracheck.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request an inspection through our form, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, and the address and city of the property. If you call or email us, we keep the details you share.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It records pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

How we use it

• To respond to your request, prepare a quote, schedule an inspection and deliver our services
• To contact you about your inspection, including reminders when your next annual observation is due
• To understand and improve how the site performs
• To protect the site and meet our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that run parts of our business for us: HubSpot (form handling and customer records), Google (analytics) and Vercel (hosting). They may use the information only to provide those services.
• Inspection personnel who work on your property, to the extent needed to do the job.
• Government authorities where the law requires it. For example, NYC rules require us to notify the Department of Buildings immediately if an inspection finds an unsafe parapet condition.
• A successor business, if VetraCheck is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_LCV79K1H6D) to tell visits apart. When the inspection form loads, HubSpot's form service may set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) on its own domain to filter out bots. We do not use advertising cookies.

You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works without them.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and customer records for as long as we need them to provide services, and generally up to six years after your last inspection, matching how long parapet observation reports must be kept. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@vetracheck.com. We will respond within 45 days. We may keep records we are legally required to retain.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
