About VetraCheck
VetraCheck is a New York City inspection firm with two specialties: the annual parapet observation that Local Law 126 requires, and SWPPP inspections for construction sites under NYSDEC's Construction General Permit.

Director · Licensed engineer
Zach leads VetraCheck. As a licensed engineer, he sets the standard for how our inspections are done and documented, so the report you keep on file holds up when the Department of Buildings asks to see it.
How we work
- Licensed engineers on every inspection
- The parapet rule allows anyone competent to inspect parapets. We use licensed engineers and architects because borderline conditions call for professional judgment.
- Close-up, not from the sidewalk
- We examine the entire parapet up close, from the roof or fire escape, and document every condition with dated photos.
- Reports in three to five business days
- Every item 1 RCNY §103-15 asks a report to contain, ready for your records well before the December 31 deadline.
- Unsafe conditions reported immediately
- If we find one, we notify the DOB the way the rule requires and help you get public protection and the repair done within 90 days.
Our guides are checked against the rule itself, 1 RCNY §103-15, and the Department of Buildings' published guidance. Start with the complete Local Law 126 guide or see what an inspection costs.
